The demand for the home and business surveillance cameras has meant that crime is on the increase and the price of security has come down considerably making it affordable to have peace of mind and security both at an affordable cost.
Home/Business owners usually start to equip their properties with security lights with the thought in mind that this is all they need; unfortunately in today’s society this is no longer the case for homes or businesses. The floodlight only allows a ray of bright light to beam over a vast area, the moment someone steps in front of the light's sensor not after they have step out of the range of the sensor, it also does not tell you who is there or why on what day or at what time. Unlike video surveillance, self monitoring and self recording systems, they can answer all those questions and more. The facts are the facts in today’s world we're seeing an increase in home/business crimes grow each and every day.

It seems that in “today’s world” we no longer live in totally ‘safe communities' with the perfect neighbor’s or neighborhoods as we once did just another reason that many find it necessary to install video surveillance and surveillance cameras and other security devices to their property.
Business Security equipment and home security systems are the thing of modern times but they can also end up costing home/business owners a small fortune. If you would like to add security or additional security to your home/business and cost is a factor, then you might want to consider using dummy cameras. Dummy security cameras don't actually record anything, but they have imitation IR lighting, metal casings, even has a fake cable making them look like the real thing and best of all you only need to change the batteries to keep it functional. Dummy (covert) security cameras can and do act as a deterrent in warding off potential burglars, vandals, thieves, and fraud and are an extremely affordable solution until a full video surveillance system and cameras can be purchased and is suitable for home or business use.
There are numerous ways to protect yourself as well as improve your home/business security and it's always a good idea to have a chat with the security professionals or your video surveillance system rep before making any purchases. Let them know about your concerns and the layout of your property and what you are trying to protect and they'll be able to help you make an informed decision when choosing any surveillance equipment. Ask about warranties, shipping and what if’s because it is their jobs to know. Remember your solution is not always the most expensive answer it should be the equipment that fits your needs and not all surveillance cameras or systems are the same, they all do something different and we all have different needs.
Although it might be a little expensive to equip a property with a surveillance camera, video surveillance system etc, the bottom line is that you will sleep easier knowing that your home or business is protected and we all need a piece of mind.

How Safe Is Safe?

How Safe Is Safe?

Hindsight is 20-20!!!

As I woke this morning to the local news there was not at any point any lack of reporting on home burglaries or business break-ins, It got me thinking as a Video Surveillance business owner how important it is to think of some basic security measures to protect your family and your property. It’s a widely known fact that a predators (I use this word as anyone who preys on others is exactly that a PREDATOR as well as a criminal) they despise cameras, light or the sound of an alarm (a dog or the sound of a gun are at the top of the list as well).

This got me thinking how safe is SAFE? Me, I personally feel I have all my angles covered. My home is never completely dark, we have a motion sensor set right under the front door that rings anytime someone approaches the front entrance,we have a camera outside covering the driveway,we have a key free lock entry system on the front door only allowing friends or family members who have been fingerprinted, or knows the PIN entry code to enter, if they don't then a intruder alarm goes off, and we also have sensors on the sliding back door with a back light and lock if all else fails we have 2 parrots that hate strangers and when it is night night for them god forbid anyone who disturbs them we will all know it LOL. Some may say this is over kill but unless you have lived through a home invasion or a break in of any kind and heard the stories of rape, abductions, attacks, threats, theft, property damage and many many more that we have encountered then you live in denial and have the mentality that it can't happen to you.

Crime does not discriminate. Young, old, race, creed, religion, day or night it can and does happen everyday, anywhere. Ask among your friends, relatives, we bet that out of 10 people 4 have been touch by some sort of crime.

So I choose to protect my family and my property with surveillance equipment and not a gun. Hence why we opened our business several years ago, and with the recessions worldwide unfortunately the worse it gets the stronger our business grows now that's a scarey thought.

Call your local police department ask them how many burglars they have caught in the home when a home alarm system has gone off. The answer will be zero as they maybe criminals but they are not stupid they know how long it takes for a response team to get to the address so it is a snatch and grab and they are gone. At least with a video surveillance system you can catch them in the act, you have and see the proof and in more times then not the means for justice!!!!

Yes don't be fooled if they wear a mask then it is possible it is all for naught but then again it records their cloths, what they took (possibly to pawn for cash), what the are driving or if the walked, type of weapon to enter, sometimes tattoos or markings etc, so I am not saying it is the answer to answers but I am saying it is a HUGE deterrent and great peace of mind, if they see a camera outside real or fake (with night vision the IR'S glow red) they will possibly most likely leave you alone and go elsewhere. In the business setting yes employees notice you have installed cameras but out of habit they usually forget about them in about a week and think they can beat them or don't even give them a second thought and resort back to their routine of their criminal acts.

So hopefully this little Hub has got you all thinking, Am I safe? Am I doing everything I can to protect my home or business. If not visit me at my website SuperSaverca Video Surveillance where we carry all your security needs or chat with me about your security concerns.
